The classes provided usable tips for prevention and techniques for defense. Practicing with the "bad guy" made it all come together and gave me confidence. Marita is very knowledgeable, patient and an excellent communicator. These classes are invaluable for females of all ages.

My daughter was also taking the class with me, and when we chatted after class, she said she felt so strong and was very glad she had taken it. KimNoblesvilleI took Phase 1 with my daughter and can't wait to take phase two. We loved the class. I would recommend this class to all women. We left feeling like we actually learned moves that could help save us. It really helped us both to be able to actually hit the 'bad guy'. The class covered more than just the self defense moves. They talked about ways to try to prevent an attack and what to do after an attack. They really care about the students and wanting to help the students. Marita and Alan were both wonderful.

As a survivor myself, this class gave me the confidence in my own abilities and the confidence that I can fight my way out if I need to. Although it's has been an incredibly emotional process I am so glad I did it. This is not only a great prevention class but it is a life changing process for me. MaleaTerre HauteI feel much more confident in defending myself after taking Phase 1 and Phase 2. The techniques were easy to learn and use and make me feel that if I am attacked, I will be able to defend myself. Practicing with a fake "bad guy" also really helped to know how to use the moves in real life. Because I took these classes, I feel much safer in my day-to-day life and confident in my ability to prevent dangerous situations and protect myself in an attack.
JessCarmelI am 66 and was concerned about being able to participate physically in the training and I found the class actually easier that I thought. I was very impressed with the knowledge and atmosphere in class. I was never made to feel uncomfortable. This training is for all ages. I appreciate Marita's professionalism and genuine care for the women she is helping. Great "bad guy" also very professional and knowledgable. thanks to all for offering this opportunity!
DebraindianapolisMy step-daughter and her high school friends are off to their first year of university next month. I arranged a class for her and her friends get prepared mentally to deal with unwanted advances from both strangers and young men she knows. Marita and Doug (our "Bad Guy" who is actually a great guy) were SUPERB teachers. They are both caring and dedicated, and a wonderful team. The girls know how to set boundaries, how to react and escape, and more importantly to report an incident and not feel ashamed or guilty. Marita is a wonderful example of an empowered woman who can take care of herself, and she covers all aspects, including dealing with men who abuse women in relationships.
